My family and I, we have always wanted to try out this spa resort called Nurture Wellness Village. I’m so glad we finally had time to do it! During ate’s last weekend before she left again for the States, all of us went to Tagaytay for a spa weekend.

We availed the Pamilya Hotel Accommodation Package, which is good for 4 pax and costs Php 17,000. Since we were a group of 5, we added Php 2,800 more for the additional head. Below details the inclusions of the package.

  • 22-hour overnight stay
  • Plated full set breakfast and lunch/dinner (depends on your choice)
  • Full body massage
  • Two 30-minute natural facial or foot massage (depends on your choice)

Nurture Wellness Village

Upon arrival, we were requested to fill-out a form. There were several questions about our food and massage preference. I like how they personalize each of the guest’s experience. They adjust depending on your needs — whether it is detox that you want, weight loss, or just plain relaxation.

The room was perfect. There were 2 single beds, a queen size bed, and an extra single mattress. There were 2 toilet rooms as well as 2 shower rooms.

We took advantage of the great view and had our obligatory family photo taken.

We were scheduled for a 6:30pm massage session, so we decided to eat snacks first. Their Suman at Mangga (sticky rice with sliced mango wedges inside) with hot chocolate was the bomb — perfect combination I must say! You can either dip the suman in the chocolate, or drink it on the side. This merienda wasn’t included in the package though.

At 6:15pm, we got a call from the receptionist telling our massage schedule will unfortunately be delayed.

So what better way to kill time than to eat (again)? Our 4-course dinner was served at 7pm.

Roasted Pumpkin Soup

First on the menu was the Roasted Pumpkin Soup.

Signature Nurture Salad

Next served was their Signature Nurture Salad. Greens were freshly picked from their farm, served together with their signature oriental dressing (which tastes like the Japanese roasted sesame seed dressing).

Next was the entree of our choice. I loved their Caldereta Osso Bucco! The beef was soft and was cooked into perfection. It still makes me drool just by thinking about it!

Chocolate Cake

And for the dessert, we each had a slice of chocolate cake.

Finally, it was massage time! It was so good and definitely worth the wait. The part wherein they put warm pandan leaves on my back was my most favorite. And oh, my ate and I were the ones who availed the 30-minute facial. Not the type of facial with pricking though — just cleansing and facial massage using natural honey is all. Nevertheless, I still loved it! To cap it all off, hot pandan tea was offered.

We woke up early in the morning to join the Tai Chi exercise class. After which, at around 7am, we had our breakfast.

Breakfast

Buffet was good. There was a pancake and egg station. There were only a few varieties of food available, but it felt really good knowing that almost everything they served was organic. Drinks were delicious too (and healthy, still)!

After breakfast, we joined the Nurture Walk. It was a 10-minute walk to the farm. Again, hot pandan tea was served. After then, we toured around the farm where they grow organic fruits and veggies. Some of it are being sold at their store by the way.

When we got back to the village, we attended the juicing and coffee-making demo. The uses and benefits of different juices were discussed one-by-one, and there were shot tastes every after blending. We were given a copy of the recipes too. So many takeaways from this one!

Right before checking out, we passed by the store and bought some take-home goodies. Yay for everything organic!

Nurture Wellness Village was the quick getaway that satisfied our need to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. The best part of it is that we were able to gain new knowledge as to how we can maintain a healthy lifestyle even after our stay there. I would really love to come back and try the detox program next time around!
