Do you know that there is a place in Japan where you can customize your own instant cup noodles? It’s called The Momofuku Ando Instant Ramen Museum, named after the creator and founder of Nissin instant noodles.
The museum has two branches — the CupNoodles Museum in Yokohama and the Instant Ramen Museum in Ikeda. We went to the latter, where the admission is FREE.
Near the entrance of the museum, you’ll see a statue of Momofuku Ando.
The museum features an interactive exhibit where you get to learn about the history of the instant noodle industry.
But the real highlight of the museum is the CupNoodles Factory. Here, you get to create your own cup noodles according to your preference — soup broth and toppings. Each cup costs ¥300 (roughly Php 140) only.
Purchase a cup from the vending machine.
Clean your hands in the sanitizing station.
Show off your creative side as you decorate your cup.
Fill your cup with a bundle of dry noodles.
Pick your soup broth and toppings. There are 4 flavors (orginal, seafood, curry and chili tomato) and 12 fillings to choose from!
Seal the cup and then shrink-wrap it (the staff does these steps).
Assemble the bag by filling it with air.
And there you have it — your very own instant cup noodles!
Sounds so much fun right? Make sure to pass by The Momofuku Ando Instant Ramen Museum if you happen to visit Osaka. It’s a one-of-a-kind experience which can be enjoyed by both kids and adults!
